# How do I change my email password?

## Steps for changing your email password, as well as the security question and answer within webmail.

Change your current password by typing the current password once and then typing the newly chosen password twice – to confirm you’ve entered your new password correctly.

**How to change your password:**

1. To change your password, go to **Preferences,** and select **Password**.
2. Type in your current password in the **Current Password** section.
3. Under **New Password**, type in a new password.
4. Type in the new password again in the **Confirm Password** field.
5. Click **Save**.

**Security Question**

Adding a security question is an important step in securing your email privacy. You should select a question that is easy for you to remember but difficult for others to guess.

**How to add and update your security question:**

1. Under **Preferences**, select **Security Question**. Now you can a security question from the dropdown list.
2. To enter a custom question, select **Custom Question** from the **Security Question** dropdown and then enter the question in the **Custom Question** field.
3. Enter the answer to your security question.
4. Click **Save**.
